Tomorrow, 3/31, is World Backup Day. Keeping your files and data safe is very important. Here is an infographic with more information and some great resources.
It's National Preparedness Month , and start of the Hurricaine Season. With all of the crazy weather we have seen, it's good to be prepared. It is important to consider three scenarios when planning for an emergency: 1) an escape route and meeting point if everyone is in the house; 2) what to do during a school day; and 3) how to handle an emergency during the weekend, when family members might be scattered. Although many people are familiar with the concept of developing a family plan for emergencies, most fail to take the time to sit down and actually come up with one. Google Apps for Education and Chromebooks have become truly awesome resources for schools and Google just keeps improving them. Here are some of the recent announcements: Android apps are coming to Chromebooks! - some Android apps have already been available for use on a Chromebook. I've been using the Evernote app for a while and love it. But in order to get them to work, developers had to do some work themselves. With this new announcement, the Google Play Store and most of it's app will work with Chromebooks. Three models are getting access in June with more getting access later.
